HOW IT WORKS
To be successful…
The ‘Rent a Country Home’ project was started due to a decrease in numbers at our local Primary School so we are looking for families with school aged children. We are also looking for families who have something positive to contribute to our community. This could be an interest in joining local committees or organisations or by bringing a skill to our town which will benefit our community. Applicants should also have renovation experience as some of our homes require a bit of attention.
Our Houses …
We have a combination of farm and town houses available in different states of repair. One may need a lick of paint and a bit of care in the garden while another may need some more serious attention like new bathroom tiles and kitchen bench tops. All homes have been inspected by our local Council Building Inspector.
The rent amount is decided by the home owners. The Rental Agreement for all houses is negotiated between the tenants and home owners and a formal lease will be signed.
What to do to apply…
Complete our online application form and upload a recent photograph or download and print out the application form, attach a recent photograph of your family and post it to us. Click here for postal address.
Application forms will be reviewed by The Busy Bees Application Committee and the home owner and a shortlist will be created. An interview with the shortlisted applicants will take place. This will be either face-to-face if the applicants are able to visit Warialda or via Skype. The successful applicants will be notified and necessary documents signed by the applicant and homeowner.
The new family moves to Warialda and begins their new life in our wonderful community to be welcomed by The Busy Bees Welcoming Committee.
